Monument to the teacher

In autumn 2011, on the eve of Teacher's Day, a monument to the Teacher was erected on the territory of the Central Park of Krasnoyarsk - in recognition of and respect for his hard work. There is a well-known fact that the first place for the alleged installation of the monument was the Prospekt Mira, but in due course the placement was changed. The city authorities initiated the creation of such a sculpture with the active support of the Council of Veterans of Pedagogical Labor.


The monument to the Teacher is a sculpture of a teacher holding a globe in her hands, which is a symbol of immense knowledge. On the school board behind the teacher are engraved words: "Teachers are famous for Russia, students bring glory to her!". The author of the monument was the famous Krasnoyarsk sculptor K. Zinich, who notes that the image of a teacher in this sculptural composition can be called more collective. However, there are in him many personal qualities, taken from school memories of his teachers.

In the city there is even a tradition: in order to remember school days, you need to rub the globe. The monument to the teacher was opened by pupils of 1-A class of gymnasium №13.

Children of war   Directions from the Institute is presented in the screenshot : The initiators of the monument "Children of war" in the past 9 years have worked to ensure that work has begun on the epitome of perpetuating the memory of the children who survived the difficult years of the war. The mastermind behind this monument was made by the society "Blockade" in 1996. But there were financial problems: 500 000 rubles were required to implement the idea.
