The monument was opened in honor of the 125th anniversary of the birth of the celebrity November 15, 2002. The total height of 3.2 meters.

This man, who devoted his life to healing, successfully combined the service of God with science. In 1923 the surgeon Valentin Voyno-Yasenetsky for belief in God was arrested and sent to exile in Yeniseysk (to the North of Krasnoyarsk 750 km) where in 1924 carried out the world's first operation on kidney transplantation.


He worked during the great Patriotic war, thanks to his talent was saved thousands of lives of wounded soldiers and officers. He became a remarkable surgeon, doctor of medicine, Professor of Tashkent medical Institute, author of 55 scientific works, in addition he was a Bishop, his Peru has 12 volumes of sermons, as well as theological work "on the spirit, soul and body."
In 1995, he was canonized and canonized as a Confessor (Saint) of new martyrs and Confessors of Russia.

Monument to children of war Directions from the Institute is presented in the screenshot: For the celebration of the 60th anniversary of victory in world war II on 7 may 2005 was a monument to children of war in Krasnoyarsk. The monument has an unusual fate, because its establishment was achieved for almost 9 years. The society "blockade" proposed the idea of the monument in 1996. In 2001, the Company collected 2,500 rubles, and it needed 500,000. The city Treasury allocated 200,000 rubles (only for paving stones), but this was not enough. They needed more money and announced the collection (donation) of money among the local residents of Krasnoyarsk.
